Touch It On, Then Let Your Cat Take Over

Hollow starts with a touch, runs a 5-minute session with a butterfly and a hidden tail moving through its own tunnel arms, then rests before it's ready to go again.

Hollow Touch-Activated Tunnel Toy

🦋 A butterfly that flies, a tail that hides

A wire butterfly spins and wiggles above the fabric while a plush tail darts in and out of the tunnel arms below, each running from its own motor and its own button.

👆 Touch to start

A touch sensor kicks off a 5 minute play session on its own, then rests for about 1.5 hours before it's ready for another round.

🎚️ 3 speeds per motor

Set the butterfly and the tail independently to slow, fast, or random movement, so play matches a calm cat or a live wire.

🔊 A sound to draw them in

A built-in speaker plays a prey-like sound to pull a cat's attention toward the toy.

The Worries, Handled

Self-Paced, Adjustable, and Never Left Running All Day

Before adding a touch-activated toy to the floor, it’s fair to ask if it’ll actually turn off on its own, whether two moving parts is more than a cat can track, and how long it lasts before a recharge. Here’s how each one is handled.

👆Runs on its own scheduleA single touch starts a 5-minute session, then the toy rests for about 1.5 hours before it can be activated again, so it’s never left running unattended all day
🎛️Two motors, two buttonsThe butterfly and the tail each have their own button and their own 3 speed settings, so you can tune each one separately
🔋Days of playA 2.5-hour charge is rated for about 3 days of use, thanks to the automatic on and off cycle
🧵A spare tail includedShips with an extra plush tail accessory, so a worn one has a ready replacement

A built-in speaker plays a prey-like sound. Charge only with a 5V adapter, per the manufacturer.

At least my two male cats absolutely love this thing. Thank goodness it's rechargeable—otherwise, I would go through a crazy amount of batteries! The two of them literally demand that I turn it back on every now and then. So in that case, don't forget to charge it regularly...😻

This is honestly the best toy I have ever bought for my cat. He is young and stays indoors, and this interactive experience completely stops him from pining to go outside. The design is incredibly well thought out, especially the hide-and-seek tail. It moves erratically rather than in a predictable pattern, which keeps my cat engaged for hours. I love that when he catches and holds the tail, the motor tries to move but doesn't burn out. It is incredibly easy to set up and features a rechargeable battery, so there is no need to constantly buy replacements. It also has an excellent sleep mode that activates when the cat stops playing (which usually takes hours—after which he goes right to sleep too!). To save charge, it cleverly reactivates whenever a human or the cat gets near it. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to keep their indoor cat happy and entertained!

This cat toy has two independent, individually controlled motors. One is for the flexible wand on top, and the other spins a horizontal ring around the base, which has a wand with a 'caterpillar' attached to it.

Three of our four cats love the toy, even if they sometimes use it differently than intended. However, I highly recommend not leaving the same toy out for your cats all the time. Variety is really important.

You can tell this cat toy is well-made because it holds up to being dragged all over the place by the cats. It's actually so lightweight that it gets flipped around quite a bit when they're wrestling with the caterpillar.

I’ve tried other battery-powered mice and stuff like that before. BORING! But with this gadget, the random movement generator seems perfectly tuned. The cricket chirping and bird tweeting sounds aren't too annoying. You can turn on the rotating butterfly separately, which really saves a lot of battery. My fur babies absolutely love this thing. The material seems super durable, too. Despite all the dragging, tugging, and shredding, nothing has broken yet. You just have to straighten out the butterfly's wire every now and then. Paws up for this gadget! Oh, and by the way, charging can take up to two hours, depending on what kind of power adapter you use.

Our 3-month-old kitten loved playing with this. The quality feels pretty cheap, though. Watch out—the sounds will drive you crazy after a few weeks ;D It’s okay for the price.

The different settings offer a nice variety. The sounds are a bit loud sometimes, but it doesn't bother the cats. Over time, their excitement wears off a bit, so I do hide the toy away every now and then.
